A Unique Wedding Ceremony at John Muir Grove
Lauren and Michael chose John Muir Grove at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh for their wedding ceremony, creating a truly unique setting for their vows.
Surrounded by beautiful mature trees and lush greenery, John Muir Grove is an incredible location for an outdoor wedding ceremony in Edinburgh. The natural surroundings created an intimate and romantic atmosphere and provided a stunning backdrop as Lauren and Michael exchanged their vows.
There was something very special about standing beneath the trees, surrounded by nature, with their closest family and friends there to share the moment.

Drinks at Caledonian Hall
After the ceremony, Lauren and Michael and their guests continued the celebrations with drinks at Caledonian Hall.
This part of the day was relaxed and full of happiness. Guests had time to chat, enjoy a drink and celebrate with the newly married couple.
These natural moments are an important part of our approach to wedding photography. Rather than constantly directing couples and guests, we prefer to observe what is happening and capture genuine interactions as they unfold – the laughter, hugs, smiles and little moments that might otherwise be forgotten.

One of the highlights of Lauren and Michael’s day was taking some time for their couple portraits around the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.

The result was a collection of romantic wedding photographs that captured not only how they looked, but how they felt on their wedding day.
Wedding Reception at The John Hope Gateway
The celebrations continued at The John Hope Gateway, where the atmosphere soon became even more energetic.
After a fantastic day surrounded by family and friends, it was time to celebrate properly – and there was certainly no shortage of dancing!
The dance floor was full of energy, laughter and unforgettable moments. Capturing this part of a wedding is one of our favourite things because there is so much personality and emotion happening naturally.
From the first dances to the wild moves on the dance floor, Lauren and Michael’s reception was the perfect way to finish an amazing wedding day in Edinburgh.
