As a wedding photographer in Edinburgh who specialises in a relaxed and unobtrusive style, I’ve had the privilege of capturing many incredible love stories — but Chloe and Adam’s wedding at The Stair Arms Hotel will always hold a special place in my heart.
Their journey to the aisle was far from simple. Originally planned for 2020, their wedding day was postponed five times due to the pandemic. Every date move brought new challenges and uncertainty, but what never changed was their commitment to each other and their sheer excitement to finally celebrate their love.
And this year, at long last, they did.
A Love That Weathered Everything — Literally
Not only did Chloe and Adam overcome years of postponed plans, but on their long-awaited wedding day they also faced Storm Amy, bringing wild winds and rain to the outskirts of Edinburgh. Lesser spirits might have felt defeated, but not this couple.
Their positivity was infectious. They embraced every moment with laughter, joy and an attitude that made the entire day feel magical — weather and all.
And despite the storm, we still managed to slip outside for some beautiful portraits. The combination of soft, windswept movement and the dramatic Scottish sky created the kind of images I absolutely love to capture — natural, heartfelt and full of real emotion.
